Jigsaw Trading is a growing, Hong Kong based FinTech company that recently started a development team in Lahore after going through a number of bad experiences with development in India. So far, we are finding "Lahorians" fun, flexible and on par with programmers in the west. Lahore is also on similar time zones to other team members - which means we don't have meetings in the middle of the night or early in the mornings. Our 2 main products are a C#/.NET Trading Platform (for US/European Futures/Stock Traders) and a Laravel/PhP/JS based Financial Analytics platform, also for traders. With the trading platform, we are gradually migrating the UI to cloud based architecture but for some UI, the performance requirements are so high that we use slightly older Winform tech in those UIs, where we have very tight control over the paint cycle. Overall we find C# UI a little too painful to code, so we use embedded Chrome to deliver UIs in HTML/JS too.
- We are looking for new Developers. Both Senior developers and Junior can apply.
- For senior developers - We like senior developers that enjoy a challenge and are comfortable both designing and coding. Sometimes you might be helping out on a project where a colleague did the design, sometimes they'll be helping develop on your designs.
- For junior developers - we like people with the basic skills that are clever and feel they are not recognized in their current role because of their age/experience. We'll get you on the fast path to the salary your skills deserve.
- Any experience you have in financial (stock/futures trading) apps is a clear advantage as is working with multi-threaded, high performance apps as about 20% of our code is performance related.
- Solid knowledge of C#/,NET is a must. HTML/JS skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
- We offer the flexibility of working from home and office. We offer flexibility around cultural and religious norms in the countries we operate in. We are about to roll out a new profit sharing scheme (2022) and we guarantee the work will be interesting and challenging.
