Manager Pharmacy

The incumbent should have sound work knowledge of Pharmacy operations in a large tertiary care hospital, good communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership and work management skills, and ability to guide and supervise a team of professional pharmacists and support staff for effective management of the Pharmacy services.

Requirnemnt:

Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent with 10 to 12 years related work experience at successively higher levels of management, including 2 to 3 years at a managerial level for heading a Pharmacy Department in a large tertiary care hospital.

The Pharmacy Department at LNH is ISO certified hence related work experience, and that of managing ERP based systems will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Manager Pharmacy reports to senior management and is responsible to effectively manage the Pharmacy services for the Hospital (inpatient and outpatient services) and for Pharmacies at the LNH Outreach Service Centers. This includes managing various sections of the Pharmacy Department including compounding, IV Sterile Pharmacy, Drug and Poison Information units etc, effective inventory management to ensure adequate stock accurate accounting and safe custody of the same to provide medications timely to inpatients and outpatients.

He / She will maintain close coordination with consultants at LNH for required medication and will ensure due compliance of legal requirement of operations of the Pharmacy Department with readily available documentation and records for the same.

The Manager will also be responsible for managing daily issuance and revenue of the Pharmacy Department and periodic reporting of the same to Director Finance.
