1.     IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND CONTROL OF PRODUCTION PLAN’S:

a)    Assist, Production Manager in achieving optimal production output, Production Targets and accomplish the departmental Prime Goal i.e (Maintain quality standards, defect free products, On Time Deliveries while complying to QMS and company rules).

b)    Assist, Production Manager to monitor production activities in the relevant production unit to ensure that the production is done as per plans prepared by the PPC department and daily, weekly and monthly targets are accordingly achieved.

c)     That the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, machine and tools required in order to achieve production targets.

d)    Providing timely information to the Production Manager regarding problems, bottlenecks and barred to the achievement of production targets.

e)    Suggesting solutions to the problems without compromising on cost, quality and set standards.

2.     PROCESS CONTROL:

a)    Organize, implement and maintain production process flow as per approved Production Flow.

b)    Investigate quality & operational problems affecting product, production and reporting/ recommending solutions.

c)     Coordinate with QA & technical Departments to develop working instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and ensure they are followed as standard.

d)    Ensure that the documentation required for product manufacturing should be managed. I.e. drawings, Flow charts, work instructions, workmanship standards and process procedures.

e)    Provide manufacturing data i.e. production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target.

f)     Responsible to ensure all set inspection parameters must be followed as standard for every product lot.

3.     IMPROVEMENTS IN ASSEMBLY LINE EFFICIENCY / PRODUCTIVITY:

a)    Evaluating the existing manufacturing methods and equipment for the assembly and suggest improvement activities based on the engineering tools and productivity theories.

b)    Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes.

c)     Support the development of lean manufacturing processes; continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training and employee’s involvement in the improvement programmes.

d)    To develop methods that would help in reducing the cost through efficient work design and manufacturing techniques without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality.

a)    QUALITY OF PRODUCT:

b)    Suggest ways and means to ensure the product conformance with design and performance specifications.

c)     Ensure that the product fabricated meets or exceeds the quality parameters.

d)    Ensure that the quality of product is being monitored at source. (In Process QC)

4.     QUALITY ASSURANCE:

a)    Ensure the implementation of applicable standards on the products fabricated in the Assembly lines.

b)    That all applicable protocols and procedure are implemented in the Assembly lines.

c)     Suggest plans by conducting hazard analysis; identifying critical control points and preventive measures.

5.     TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT OF WORKERS:

a)    Coordinate with HR department for “Training Need Analysis” of the department and arrange training of workers as and when needed.

b)    In coordination with the HOD, support HR department in performance evaluation of workers of the concerned assembly unit.
