Production Coordinator is responsible for the following activities: -

Execution of Production Plans (Daily, Weekly and Monthly time & Action Plan):

a) Execution of production plan from fitting to assembling line against production orders.

b) Develop and implement time and action calendar for fitting, polishing and assembling lines.

c) Achievement of department PRIME GOAL (i.e. Maintain quality standards, defect free products, On Time Deliveries while complying with QMS system and company rules).

Capacity Utilization and achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets of Electronics Department.

a) Prepare and Implement resource utilization plan and monitor the achievements of daily, weekly and monthly production targets of assembling unit-1.

b) Manage all relevant inputs (Manpower, Machine and Material) to ensure production outputs and on time production targets are achieved

c) Plan, schedule and review workload to ensure production output in all relevant production assembling areas and on time delivery targets are achieved.

d) Ensure that the assembling unit-1 has the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, machine and tools required in order to achieve production targets.

Process Control & Improvement:

a) Evaluate the existing production process/method and suggest improvement activities based on the engineering tools and productivity theories.

b) Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes.

c) Organize, implement and maintain production process flow in the assembling unit-1 as per approved Production Flow.

d) Investigate quality & operational problems affecting product, production and reporting/ recommending solutions.

e) Ensure that the work instructions, workmanship, QMS standards are implemented in the department.

f) Responsible to ensure all set inspection parameters are followed as standard for every product lot.

g) Develop methods that would help in reducing the cost through efficient work design and manufacturing techniques without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality.

h) Coordinate with Manager Product Development in development of electronic prototypes for under development products & Procedures.

QMS Implementations:

Ensure QMS standard, protocols and documents are being implemented at all levels. (I.e. Drawings, Flow Charts, Work Instructions, Workmanship Standards and Process Procedures etc. for product manufacturing.

Quality of Product:

a) Suggest ways and means to ensure the product under his scope conformance with design and performance specifications.

b) Ensure that the product fabricated meets or exceeds the quality parameters.

c) Ensure that the quality of product is being monitored at source. (In Process Q.C).

6) Complaints Handling:

a) He shall assist QA and other related departments in investigating the root cause of complaints under his scope for customer feedback and also suggest ways and means to improve the quality of the products and take corrective/preventive actions accordingly.

Monitor and manage production KPI’s of the Assembling Unit;

Ensure achievement of following KPI’s of the Department.

a) % utilization of production capacity

b) % Achievement of daily weekly and monthly production targets applicable to the production unit

c) % reduction in the rework and rejection

d) % reduction in overtime as compared to total production

e) % reduction in the Production cost

f) % of shipments delivered targets achieved.
