Essential Job Requirements Azure first and foremost.
We will be using a massive amount of Azure services. Containers: Everything will be containerized. This will allow scalable infrastructure to support the application. Almost all development, testing, and deployments will be done in containers.
Rigorous code standards and scanning.
Developer will follow Microsoft best practices period. That is everything from code complexity rules to naming conventions to spelling. Will use JetBrains ReSharper locally. The developer will also be required to run SonarQube and SonarLint locally on their own machines.
There will be a few branches of DevOps that will also have SonarQube enforcement. If the code doesn’t pass all tests, it will not be promoted to more centralized branches. There will be another branch of DevOps that will also use Veracode static code analysis. All code will go through Code Review with the entire development team.
That web site will run the auctions of course, but it will also be a full content management server as well. It must run everything from:
- Creating inventory
- Search indexing inventory
- Live auction
- Video streaming
- Live chat
- Live support
- Shipping service calculations
- Payment services
- User authentication and validation
- Business intelligence and analytics
- Reporting
- Data warehousing
- ML / AI for sales
- ML / AI for marketing
- ML / AI for support
