Read and understand functional requirements and provide estimated time.
Identify use-cases which are complicated and may take more time than estimated with justification.
Write custom software components, data structures and algorithms to implement use-cases.
Test software components individually as well as when integrated with components written by other developers. Resolve logical errors and integration issues.
Build and package deployable components such as .war files, package them as containers, deploy them in an orchestrated environment.
