Reports to: Head of Operations & Manager Research
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support with in-house research (primary and secondary) on the microfinance sector in Pakistan.
- Support in preparing PMN research publications.
- Provide support in managing and undertaking consulting research projects commissioned to PMN.
- Provide support in organizing events, meetings, and consultative workshops on research initiatives.
- Coordinate with microfinance providers, research consultants and other organizations on information exchange.
- Assist the Research Manager in the development of research, strategies, policies, and plans of PMN.
- Assist the Research Manager to Monitor the costs and assess the benefits of research and development activities.
- Strategic Development & Management of PMN's Research Portfolio:
- Assist and Work with the PMN Management to develop the organization's strategic plan for its research function.
- Engage and assist the Research Manager in research (primary and secondary) on financial inclusion in Pakistan in key areas either internally or through engagement with appropriate consultants.
- Assist and oversee in publishing MicroNotes as required.
- Help Prepare, oversee, and assist in managing PMN research publications.
- Help assist in Developing proposals to solicit consulting projects for PMN and manage these projects.
- Assist and Support other PMN staff in their projects on relevant areas like proposal writing or project reports.
- Networking and developing strategic partnerships:
- Assist in Building and strengthening relations with PMN’s strategic partners, members, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Represent PMN at local forums as required.
