Project: Pak Arab Refinery MCR Revamp Project / ATA-04 | Client: Pak Arab Refinery, Qasba Gujrat, Pakistan
Design construction methodologies and daily, weekly and monthly look a-head plans via close collaboration with the construction management team. Deliver strategic direction and guidelines to the management in leading instrumentation pre/post installation testing, such as isometric, method statement, JSA, data sheets, hookup, loop, logic, and P&I drawings. Install Okazaki and WIKA thermocouples, pressure, temperature and level gauges, vibration switches, local indication panels, and Ionization type pilot flame detectors along with local indication panels. Formulate, update, and deliver reports to the management in a timely manner via close collaboration with planning, execution, and QAQC team members. Successfully install limit, pressure, and level switches as well as terminate field instruments, such as temperature, pressure, flow, DPT, and level transmitters of various manufacturers. Perform all activities in accordance with HSE requirements, PPEs, UOP, and other organizational guidelines. Update and retain schedule throughout duration of project while ensuring awareness among PM and team regarding load and manpower availability.
Led, educated, scheduled, and managed high-performing 60 team, including supervisors, fabricators, fitters, technicians, tube benders, and helpers.
Successfully installed Honeywell and Rosemount pressure, Masoneilan and fisher control valves, field junction boxes, flow, and temperature transmitters along with cable trays/laying, calibration, and impulse piping/tubing.
Ensured dismantling, overhauling, testing, and reinstallation of hundreds of control, on-off valves and damper actuators by designing and executing effective strategies.
Acted as an integral member of biggest shutdown in Pakistan in 45 days time frame at Pak Arab Refinery Ltd and completed renovation of project within time.
Raised refinerys production capacity from 100,000 BPD to 120,000 BPD and RON of refinerys products, while maintaining Pakistani crude and of existing major equipment.
Supervised over 1,300 instrument activities in pre-shutdown and shutdown periods of all process & utility areas.

Held full accountability for overseeing resources, manpower, and scaffolding erection for all E&I activities, installing field junction boxes, and resolving client issues in a timely manner. Played an integral role in maintaining everyday log book of progress and conducting field evaluations and assessments while attending significant meetings with clients and team members. Supervised RIT system and distributed manpower according to the work front available.
Ensured accurate diagnosis and swift resolution of client issues while performing activities in accordance with standard guidelines and specifications.
Oversaw and accomplished disassembling, renovation, adjustment, and re-installation tasks of 156 Pressure Safety Valves within five days.
Achieved bottom line results by streamlining and executing all engineering and project activities while following PPEs, HSE, and other defined guidelines.
Assured maintenance and calibration of various equipment, including pressure safety valves, motors, switches, control valves, and pressure/level/flow transmitters maintenance of transformers.

Played an integral role in overseeing vendor services and providing proper reports to the Maintenance Superintendent, E/I Supervisor, and OIM. Analyzed estimated expense for maintenance activities and facility upgrade/renewal while overseeing financial aspects of the maintenance of DCS system and deliver guidelines to optimize budget. Executed preventive/special maintenance programs as well as examined technical results of control systems equipment. Collected and entered information for updating facility and equipment management. Delivered first-rate support to CCR in overseeing and following DCS operations while presenting records in the maintenance database in a timely manner. Liaised with unit reporting structure with Company and DCS Service provider to facilitate in commissioning new plant and DCS configuration.
Recognized and retained minimum stock levels of spares and consumables while ensuring notification of spare parts needed onboard, on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions.
Ensured reporting of deficiencies and malfunctions to the E&I Supervisor while examining technical/spares issues.
Developed and maintained effective working relations with the DCS provider and devised solutions related to eventual bottlenecks, deficiencies, and non-conformities to E&I.
