AGES Consultant is working on ADB funded Pehur High Level Canal Extension Project of worth US $96.60 millions, to extend irrigation systems to boost agriculture production and improve water management in the Swabi and Nowshehra districts. I am engaged with AGES as Civil Engineer responsible for the followings:1. Monitoring & Evaluation of works being executed onsite.2. Co-ordination between Project Management Office, Project Implementation Consultants and Contractor.3. Reviewing IPCs before final submission to irrigation department.4. Reviewing Variation Orders and Change orders submitted by Contractors.5. Reviewing and updating monthly progress and accordingly suggesting mitigation measures for timely completion of project.6. Preparing monthly progress reports

The size of DFID’s Education Programme in Pakistan is 800 Million Pounds, the single largest intervention in education ever made by the Department in the developing world. Humqadam-SCRP aims to substantially improve the school environment for more than one million children by providing new, inclusive, and safe spaces in existing government schools in two provinces of Pakistan; Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).-----> KEY RESULT AREAS1. Developing, maintaining and implementing the Quality policy, rules, standards and strategies and ensuring that all requirements of QMS are being met in the job function.2. Monitoring and supervising the quality of construction works by onsite Inspections, through lab and onsite testing of materials as per the developed Inspection Test Plans.3. Coordination with Third Party Consultants for their visits to construction sites and closing their comments by taking necessary corrective measures.4. Liaising with Construction teams, Contractors, CPMU, Community members, government officials and other stake holders to ensure safe and quality construction works.5. Giving technical assistance to field teams on day to day construction issues to ensure smooth operation of program.6. Suggesting Preventive actions to avoid recurrence of mistakes in past.7. Identifying the need of capacity building and accordingly Training Construction Teams, Contractors and community on Standard Engineering & Construction Practices.8. Technically reviewing the MARs, MSRs, RFQs RFPs for contractors, suppliers, vendors etc9. Reviewing Quality assurance Inspection reports generated by QA Engineers and Inspectors and dispatching to relevant Contractors.10. Generating Biweekly and monthly Quality Reports, Lesson Learnt Manuals, Advisories and quality notes for submission and disseminating to Chief Engineer / CPMU.

Checking the availability of all relevant plans, drawings, Schedules, Specifications and other contractual documents on site and fitness for purpose:2. Checking the QA Record including the following but not limited to: Source Approvals, Concrete Job Mix Formula, Empirical Bearing Capacity Test, Approval Forms, Test Results Testing Methodology/Approach, Availability of Field Testing Equipment3. Verifying the MIS Entries reflect the current status of the construction on site in the following ways:a. Checking that the Scope of Work matches the actual work taking place on site.b. Verifying that the physical progress as stated in the MIS matches the actual progress on site.c. Ensuring through the checking of MIS Entries that any issues (NCRs, Failed Inspections or delay related Re-inspections) are being documented accurately and resolved in a timely manner.d. By checking that the requisite number of mandatory inspections are being conducted (as per the MIS), that ALL inspections are being done with a Contractor Representative on site and that required details are mentioned:4. Checking the status of the Interim Accounts to match the milestones achieved on site.5. Mentoring District Teams to prepare for the TPV Audits and then accompany the TPV Team during their visits.6. Recommending and conducting technical training for the District Engineers, Contractors Teams and Management Staff as required.

Responsible for quality control requirement at site.
Ensuring all the ISO 9001:2008 / ISO 9001:2015 requirements of Project Quality Management System are implemented.
Responsible for preparation of general quality control procedure, inspection test plan (ITP), Method statements, RFI and technical queries.
Coordinating the document controls of technical submittals, drawing etc. with the Project Team and ensuring that QA/QC validation has been done.
Assisting quality control audit at site. Preparing audit schedule & Audit plan.
Conducting audits of suppliers, subcontractors and third party labs and preparation of audit reports.
Responsible for issuing of internal NCR.
Taking corrective and preventive action and closing of NCR’s from consultants.
Responsible for all testing from third party testing lab.
Organizing, implementing, conducting and managing the QA/QC Programs as per the JV Quality policy.
Studying, understanding and comprehending  project specifications, IFC drawings, contract documents
Preparation and approval of quality documents
Coordinate all inspections, monitor the required tests.
Liaising with Consultant’s / Client\'s representatives to conduct day-to-day quality related project activities.
Monitoring quality to ensure that it is in accordance with project specifications.
Ensuring that all the instruments and calibration certificate are up to date according to relevant standards.
Preparation and handing over of project quality dossier.
 

• Performing all the daily inspection and tests of the scope.• Ensuring all the activities being carried out and all the material being used are as per approved Method statement and specifications.• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including but not limited to certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations.• Co-coordinating with QA/QC Manager and Project Manager for solution of technical issues at site.• Preparation of Method Statements for repair works at site.• Coordination with suppliers and manufacturers regarding the technical material submittals• Dealing with Client, Project team and Consultancy
