ACHIEVEMENTS; We implemented successfully the UNHCR idea of Temporary Shelters (Within the context of UNHCR’s Global Strategy for Settlement and Shelter 2014-18) by protecting existing tents/shelters from harsh weather conditions (Hot/Cold) with another T-Shelter made up from Agro net & Tarpaulin sheet & locally available material i.e., Bamboos & Tarpaulin sheet. I was lead engineer of the team who built 8000 families/8000 tents were covered in a short span of time i.e., & 5 months by outsourcing skilled workers & helpers while providing construction material & technical support.

We built new Earth Quake Resistance Frame Structure Classrooms at schools to accommodate more students & provided Labor Rooms in BHUs to facilitate pregnant women safe deliveries in remote areas run by government departments. Gender equality & WASH sessions were also conducted in schools & BHUs to create awareness for hygiene & health.

ACHIEVEMENTS; I worked enthusiastically in the relief & recovery works for the victims of 2009 Flood in KPK. I was part of the engineering team who built 600 permanent shelters for the flood affectees of Charsadda in 5 months maintaining a standard of quality of construction works. Those permanent shelter included 2 rooms, one kitchen & one ablution/toilet for one family while keeping perspective of age & gender. This project was funded by Japan with UNHCR as its implementing agency

Some 5000 families were facilitated. We took health & hygiene sessions/campaigns regularly at various communal levels to bring hygiene awareness among the IDPs. Hygiene kits were distributed. Gender sensitization were conducted. All of our activities were met with specified goals successfully & our team was highly appreciated by the government as well as donor agency i.e, UNICEF.
