As part of the Embassy\'s Commerce Wing I had to initiate and engage in enterprises that enabled Pakistani goods and services to access the region\'s market. It worked both ways in terms of increasing Pakistan\'s exports and even finding foriegn Investors for Pakistani businesses.
I personally arranged and saw to the culminations of multiple deals ranging from grains and rice to jeans and apparel. The achievement I\'m most proud of however is the reopening of the Pakistani Pharmaceutical Industry\'s access into this region. I say region as Syria is responsible for the provision of almost 90 percent of Iraq\'s medicine market.
These were the projects i personally lead, however it should be noted that many major contracts with Pakistani companies were made by this office during my time with them including a 300 million dollar deal with Millat Group of Companies as well. I dont mean to imply credit but just that it taught me many skills that I use to this day.

Within the multinational firm\'s news department I was responsible for obtaining, analysing, extracting and then wiring the news worthy and relevant information to the company\'s clients, such as JP Morgan of which I was assigned their mining operations. And initially I started off with entertainment news but later moved on to the metals and mining team.

A current affairs publication with prominent reach within the Pakistani political, social and journalistic spectrums, this magazine did not only offer me first hand editing and reporting experience but also direct interaction with prominent state actors and celebrities as well.
