Achievements: 

Lead the development of advanced growing, cultivation, and harvesting techniques to enhance Zinc Bio Fortified Wheat and address challenges faced by farmers in assigned districts. 
Research and promote innovative agricultural strategies to mitigate the impact of climate change, changing weather patterns and insect pest issues.
Conduct comprehensive field visits to procure seed, and soil samples for meticulous analysis.
Utilize analytical insights to identify nutritional deficiencies, disease and other alteration in samples.   
Devise and execute capacity building programs to raise awareness about BZW.
Organize workshops and training sessions focused on sharing best practices for cultivation of BZW.
Collaborate closely to farmers communities to share knowledge, provide guidance and enhance their Wheat productivity.

Project Name: Strengthening resilience to rising food prices in Pakistan (PAK-1128)
Project District: Layyah
Achievements: 

Provided food assistance to food and nutrition security of vulnerable populations particularly affected by hunger and malnutrition, around 4400 families (via cash and voucher transfers or in-kind contributions). 
Trained around 4440 households on Food Nutrition Security. 
Conducted Community discussion rounds on FNS with specific focus on women and girls.  
Trained 150 Farmers on improved agricultural and horticultural methods and Postharvest losses.
Provited tecnical support to 150 farmers in term of provision of seeds, fertilizer, equipment, and other inputs 
Improved access to safe drinking water through rehabilitation, installations, and maintenance of water supply systems in Layyah.

Project Name: Commercialization of Biofrotified Crops in Punjab, Pakistan 
Project Location: Multan 
Achievements: 

Led the development and implementation of a successful marketing strategy to commercialize and generate demand for Zink Wheat, effectively increasing its adoption in the target market.
Established robust partnerships and close collaborations with key government departments and stakeholders in the Climate Smart Agriculture sector, bolstering the supply of Zinc Biofortified Wheat and advocating for sustainable food system improvements.
Conducted extensive market research to identify trends, target markets, and potential sales opportunities, resulting in improved product positioning and customer engagement.
Built and nurtured strong relationships with stakeholders, segregators, aggregators, and customers, contributing to a robust value chain for Zink Biofortified Wheat.

Successfully identified progressive and subsistence farmers who demonstrated keen interest in adopting climate-smart agriculture practices, particularly growing of Zinc Wheat varieties, effectively building a network of committed growers.
Facilitated the segregation and clustering of identified farmers for efficient grain aggregation in both project districts, optimizing the supply chain of Zinc Biofortified Wheat.
Delivered comprehensive agronomic technical assistance to farmers, enabling them to adopt best practices for improved crop yield and quality within the context of climate-smart agriculture.
Capacity Building of Zinc Wheat Grain value chain actors, including millers, retailers, market associations, and seed companies, Chamber of commerce, Food department, Agriculture Extension Department and market associations.

Project Name: Molecular Characterization of Fusarium Isolates Associated with Stalk Rot of Maize 
Project Location: Ames, USA
Achievements: 

Conducted extensive research on 30 Fusarium species associated with Stalk rot of Maize, applying expertise in plant pathology and microbiology.
Performed pathogen isolation, propagation, DNA isolation, purification, and PCR, utilizing advanced laboratory techniques in Gleason\'s Lab.
Recorded, analyzed, and interpreted research findings using statistical software, providing valuable insights into the pathogenicity and virulence of the Fusarium species.
Collaborated with a team at Iowa State University Horticulture Station and greenhouses, preparing research plots and collecting yield and agronomic data after harvest.
Installed drip and sprinkle irrigation systems during experimental trials, ensuring accurate data collection and minimizing environmental impacts.
