RESPONSIBILITY.

Slitter operators are responsible for operating slitting machines, which use a series of rollers and blades to cut large rolls of paper or plastic into smaller rolls.

Slitter operators must have an extensive knowledge of the equipment they operate. This includes knowing how to properly load rolls onto the machine as well as how to safely unload them when they’re done. They must also know how to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the process so that production can continue without interruption.

RESPONSIBILITY.
Extrusion operators are responsible for operating extrusion equipment to produce a variety of products. This equipment uses high pressure and heat to transform raw materials into finished goods such as plastic pellets, sheets, or tubes

Extrusion operators must carefully monitor the equipment they’re operating at all times. They must also be able to read and interpret gauges and other indicators to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
Extrusion operators have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

Converting raw materials into pellets, flakes, or strands for use in manufacturing
Monitoring equipment to ensure it is working properly, making adjustments as needed, and maintaining logs of performance

RESPONSIBILITY.
Extrusion machine operators set up, monitor and maintain machines which heat or melt raw materials, and pull or push the heated material through a shaped die to form it into a continuous profile with a preset cross section such as tubes, pipes and sheeting. They may also clean and maintain the equipment.

Draw or press metal into shapes and diameters.
Reel extruded products into rolls.
Specify lengths and weights of rolls.
Replace worn dies.
Set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature.
Synchronize speed of extrusion.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Locate defects on extruded products.
Check for conformance to specifications.
Adjust controls as necessary.
Splice cables.
Install, connect, test, and adjust equipment.
String lines or install terminal boxes.
Clean tools.
Position insulation over conductors.
Seal splices with moisture-proof covering.
Access areas by climbing poles and ladders.
Remove excess, entangled, or completed filaments from machines.
Operate machines that extrude filaments from synthetic materials such as rayon, fiberglass, or liquid polymers

Installing new equipment or machinery, including programming computers and troubleshooting problems with existing equipment

Reading drawings or other instructions to determine the number of sheets that will be produced by a run, and adjusting settings accordingly

Monitoring equipment operation to ensure that it continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and safely

Operating slitting machines by using hydraulic controls to start and stop equipment and to adjust blade height and tension settings

Observing gauges to monitor cutting speed, tension settings, blade alignment, and blade sharpness

Installing, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing equipment used to cut up large rolls of material into smaller rolls

Participation in site planning meetings to coordinate daily work

Supervision and instruction of the local workers on correct turbo machinery equipment installation giving advice/instruction on specific tasks

Hands-on work on critical tasks such as casing and rotor lifting, bearing and other clearance measuring, seals and coupling installation

Performing/witness of coupling alignments

Check/witness of process pipe connections to turbo machinery casings

Quality and mechanical functional checks after installation of equipment

Logging of all quality related activities in checklists and protocols

Completing all reporting, protocols, variation reports, time sheets and other administrative work

Keeping a daily log of work done, and any problems encountered

Arrange and prepare tools, equipment, fixtures, etc. as required for the field service project during assignment to avoid any delays due to unavailability of such

Ensure achieving commercial success of the job, through effective planning and detailed recording of variations from agreed work scope.

Administrate all logistics activities on site including tools & consumables purchasing, transportation, accommodation, etc. for field service work team.

Assist in identification and clarification of work scope proposals and/or projections of field service job and perform site surveys.

Coordinate for trouble shooting and problem-solving during assignment on site

Coordinate communication with third party and/or customer on site

Reporting incidents and accidents without delay to the clients.

Keeping a daily log of work done and any problems encountered.

Submitting variation reports right after completion of work on site.

Submitting Field Service Report right after completion of work on site.

Completing all other documentation applicable to each Work Activity.
