Terms of Reference for the position Birth Registration Facilitator
Introduction
This position of birth registration facilitator is hired for the pilot project on health interoperable birth registration in Sindh to implement integrated intervention for birth registration, health, and immunization project in the selected districts
Job Purpose
The birth registration hired through ASK will work under the direct supervision of District Coordinator and will be responsible for filling birth registration application and data entry in the online system, record keeping and use of interpersonal communication with caregivers, parents, family members and other community members/leaders in promoting birth registration, child protection and vaccination for children under five
Reports to District Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include
Interact with parents visiting the health facilities and share information on birth registration, assist parents in fill the birth registration forms.
Submit completed forms to UC office.
Conduct door-to-door visits and identification of area for children with zero dose immunization and low birth registration.
Coordinate with health facility staff, union council staff on regular basis.
Conduct awareness sessions in field on importance of birth registration.
Assist in making arrangements for the announcement in mosques for immunization and birth registration.
Collect and compile daily field reports.
Ensure daily reporting to supervisor.
Support in registration and identification of zero dose children in the respective area.
Ensure quality of birth application forms with correct spellings and accurate date of applicant.
Submit and share weekly desk report to district coordinator.
Prepare monthly & weekly reports of the desk.
Communication and coordination with union council staff for handing over birth applications and receiving birth certificates.

Flood Emergency Response in Sindh 2022
In response to the floods, relief efforts have established camps in affected areas. Activities include the distribution of hygiene kits, jerry cans, and soaps, along with the implementation of hygiene and SBCC sessions. These initiatives aim to provide essential resources and educate the affected population on maintaining proper hygiene practices in challenging conditions.
