Conducts static vaccination sessions in BHUs as scheduled including holding outreach activities in the field
Administers vaccines correctly in accordance with guidelines, and maintains strict aseptic techniques
Reports and record measles cases and conduct ring immunization, mopping up and or any other supplemental immunization activities/campaigns
Liaise closely with LHV, Healthy promoters and other staff in order to avoid missed opportunities (including screening of cards) for immunization of children and women, children to be followed up on due list and defaulter tracing. Also coordinates for proper birth recording/reporting and growth monitoring activities in the facilities with the teams.
Maintains accurate record/chart of monitoring coverage of the target population
Maintains accurate EPI records including daily and permanent registers, and additional records on due and defaulters (prepare and update lists on monthly basis)
Provides counseling to the care givers on the preventive and promotive health aspects of the vaccines, vaccination schedules, when to return for the other shot of vaccine etc.
Receives vaccines from the field office and ensures that the cold chain is correctly maintained to the point of actual immunization in accordance to standardized guidelines
Prepares monthly statistical report, vaccine consumption/wastage rates and submits in timely manner.
Ensures that used syringes, needles and all vaccinations vials/ampoules are stored and disposed off per protocols
General Position Summary
The TBS is a self-motivated individual who will skillfully and objectively communicate with the people visiting out-patient Departments (OPDs) of the designated Hospital, for verbal screening, in order to detect TB patients as per the Guidelines.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Verbally screen all the people attending different OPDs of the designated Hospital, using the screening tool
Ensure that all the identified presumptive TB cases reach the designated Doctor for diagnosis/ treatment
Ensure that all the identified presumptive cases provide sputum sample for lab testing
Coordinate with the district field supervisor (DFS)/ (sputum transportation rider/ Gene Xpert Testing Incharge) and ensure that the sputum sample is transported to the testing facility as per the Guidelines
Ensure that results of the sputum tests are documented in the recording register
In case the TB patient is detected as Rifampicin Resistance (RR), TBS, with support of DFS will coordinate with the PMDT site for patient’s registration at the PMDT site.
Prepare monthly record of the screened; presumptive; registered TB cases; and report the same to Regional Coordinator as per the Guidelines.
Support the development and implementation of a sustainable promotion program in the targeted communities and Health facilities:
Identify the areas of need for health promotion and education within targeted communities through contact with community representatives and assessment of knowledge and practices amongst clinics attendants.
Arranging training for Health Promotion and Communication skills at the level of all supported facilities
Conduct training of community in health and hygiene promotion and the implementation of different techniques & activities in selected communities.
Liaise with community representative and members for health work, if possible, encourage the formation of community groups for health promotion activities.
Promote utilization of services available at the nearby health facilities by monitoring and supporting the activities of the PHC Home visitors.

Participate in a less than or half-day debrief sessions to share field experiences about the community and entire data collection process.

Support and cooperate with the supervisor in team building and better coordination.
Male enumerators will have the additional responsibility to facilitate the female enumerators when they need their help during interview and the field movement/deployment.
All the team members (surveyors) will cross check the filled forms of each other at the end of a day on daily basis.
