Said Ikhtiar brings along more than 5 years of experience in the areas of program and project planning, management, Disaster risk reduction, monitoring and evaluation and coordination.
I am a certified trainer on Disaster Risk Management, Comprehensive School Safety Framework and Social Mobilization and is called upon by government, Non-Governmental and community organizations for capacity building of their staff.
I also have solid experience of conducting/developing/working on:
• Project Management Facilitation and Documentation
• Risk assessment of Glacier Lake Outbreaks Floods (GLOF)
• Community Based Early Warning system
• Using of Arc GIS and Remote Sensing technology for data management, mapping and analysis
• Use of Google Earth and other online base maps for data extraction
I hold master’s degrees in Disaster Management and M.Phil in Disaster Management, from University of Peshawar respectively in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Geographic Information System from University of Peshawar.
