This position ensures the highest possible quality of broadcasting and services through the engineering and operations of the company and equipment necessary to accomplish Satellite Uplink Operation, DSNG Network and V-Sat Network responsibilities effectively.
• Deploy up linking of TMN TV Channel. The system comprises of Tandberg Encoders, Multiplexers, Modulators, Advantech Up converters and Xicom HPA’ MCPC transmission on Pak sat 1R.
• Planning, and deployment of TMN VSAT point to multipoint connectivity (nationwide) using Comtech EF Data IP VSAT Modems for Bureau offices and DSNG Network in Lahore and other respective cities.
• Maintains and repairs on-site and remote broadcast equipment’s, DSNG Live vans, Microwave Receiver Sites, Satellite Dishes, Equipment Centers, Studios, Cables and SwitchersDexin encoder, modulators, IRDs and Audio/ Video switcher for live coverage.
• Knowledge and experience of wireless transmission systems, terrestrial and satellite.
• Maintain quality of Audio and Video signal from PCR & MCR.
• Work on Ericson n-Compass Server for configure and manage the Encoders, Multiplexers and Modulators.
• Installation of 4.5-meter VSAT Antenna with auto tracking system.Setting up ConaxContego 2.1 CAS. Integration of CAS with Ericsson’s multiplexers using nCC. Management of CAS, authorization, activation & deactivation of smart cards.
• NOC/Communication/Ingesting/Archival Facility Set up NOC to connect several contribution LIVE feeds. Ensure NOC Engineers are fully capable to align, connect & ingest LIVE feeds under Pressure.
• Communicate, correspond with vendors, clients, technicians for technical support, troubleshooting.
Broadcast Technician
Responsibilities:
Worked as a Broadcast technician in the Radio FM 95 Punjab Rung.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all radio broadcast systems in the Radio Master Control, Transmitter, the FM studios and other facilities.
• Diagnosed and corrected an ongoing problem with equipment used to place phone calls on the air. Wrote up an SOP for operating that equipment.
• Repaired a variety of broadcast equipment including recording equipment used in the FM studios and video equipment used by correspondents.
• Trained in the use of Final Cut Pro and Vegas Pro Audio and Video editing software.
• Prior to working in the maintenance shop, I worked as an RBT in the FM studios operating consoles to produce programming for FM 95
CCTV Engineer
