Working as Offshore DB Team lead for Oracle Database 11g/12c & IBM DB2 v9.7.0.6.

Responsible to take care of 13 SIT/DEV Oracle DB environments with 4 members team.

Also, taking care of 18 SIT/DEV IBM DB2 DB environments for IBM Commerce & Portal applications.

Acknowledging tickets from developers using tool CA Service Desk.

Downloading PF-Forms/CR-Forms from Clarity (web-based application).

Deployment of DML Scripts, Packages, Package body using Version Control (CVS) Tool as per the CR/PF Forms.

In case of invalid packages, deployment of same package from PROD/TST environments.
Running some business Jobs as and when requested.

Providing Access to Database and Application Users.

Taking care of the access to the Database objects as per Access Forms.

Refreshing the tables/materialized views from PROD/TST as and when requested.

Communication with the developers on Skype for Business (IM) to help them in case of issues.

Meetings with the customer for upcoming projects.

Taking DB2 Backups before Data load and other applications changes.

Restore of DB2 Databases from PROD/TST backups for Major changes in SIT environments.

Majorly involved in Syncing the Oracle SIT/DEV environments with Production releases frequently.

Managing filesystem spaces in all the Database Servers.

Also involved in the build and deployment of code using Anthill Pro for SOA/OSB.

Sending Anthill logs to the Developer in case of any failure in Deployment for Code check.
Build and Deployment of IBM Commerce code using WCDB utility.

In case of Failure in Deployment of Commerce Build/Deployment, sharing logs with Commerce Development Team.

Deployment of IBM Portal Application Code through RAF tool.

Performing Data Load & Mass Load for commerce Application.

IBM DB2

IBM DB2 Installation and Configuration on AIX, Linux and Windows 2003.
Cataloging and un-cataloging database.
Backup and Restoration of DB2 database.
Implementing Fix Packs.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery Solution Implementation.
Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Assist in capacity planning, space management and data maintenance activities for database system.
Maintain patches for database environments.

Oracle Database

Installation of Oracle Database 10g, 11g on Linux, Window.
Troubleshoot Oracle issues.
Visit client premises to resolve critical Oracle problems.
Responsible for 24/7 support for clients.
Performance monitoring on Oracle systems related to Oracle DB.
Monitor scheduled backups on Oracle databases.
Tune UNIX (Linux) for smooth Oracle functioning and performance.
Provided consultancy to troubleshoot for performance hike and bug removal for different Oracle Products.
Maintain System & Object Privileges.
Using Export, Import and Data Pump for creating test environments.

SQL Server

Installation and Configuration of SQL Server 2008, 2010, 2012.
Configuration of SQL Cluster environment.
Configuration for Disaster Recovery/mirroring of SQL Server.
Managing Spaces for Scheduled/Manual Backups, TxnLogs and Active Logs.
