JOB SUMMARY:
The Nutrition Manager will be responsible for quality implementation of nutrition programming. The incumbent will be responsible for overall nutrition programming strategies, effective and impactful integration with FSL and other activities, as well as possible overlaps with existing programs in the districts. Nutrition Manager will also assure that CMAM interventions are effectively run and managed of high quality and consistent to humanitarian standards and ensure the appropriate technical support to the partners. Further, the position will contribute to the active representation of CARE with external actors at district and provincial level on relevant forums. The incumbent will work closely with implementing partners as well as Core program team to implement the projects under the guidance and supervision of Head of Field Office and Team Leader.            
II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Job Responsibility #1:  Management of Nutrition Activities and Strategy

Ensure a consistent and integrated CARE response to the nutritional needs with holistic approach to the nutrition programming in the area that creates credibility of our actions.
Develop project implementation plan including procurement, distribution, spending plans and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders (Implementing partner, CARE MEAL, finance, admin and logistics departments) for timely and quality implementation of emergency response activities.
Supervises the technical work of partner in nutrition interventions and provides adequate constructive feedback and render technical support to partner teams.
Ensure that the technical protocols, manuals, guidelines and forms used in the field are consistent to nutrition programming protocols and in line with national guidelines.
Plan, with local partners, and lead appropriate assessments of nutrition needs and capacities in target areas.  Analyze assessment data and synthesize findings in the form of concise and timely reports with clear recommendations.
Ensure strict compliance of project activities with CARE International policies and procedures and with relevant donor regulations and agreements. Analyzes the project activities and results against the internationally validated indicators (Sphere standards and CARE standards) and propose improvements and modifications, if need be, in collaboration with the Team Leader/ HPM and Head of Field Office.
Take lead in devising targeting strategy for CMAM activities in intervention areas in consultation with nutrition stakeholder for effective nutrition outcomes and impacts.
Work closely with FSL and other sector teams in developing SOPs for integrated work modalities to ensure holistic support to food insecure families that result in greater nutrition outcomes.
Orient partner organizations and staff not engaged in direct nutrition programming on nutrition activities (EFSL and WASH actors)
Assess, design and implement appropriate training programs to equip and upgrade knowledge and skills of partner in field.

Job Responsibility # 2: Effective Monitoring and Evaluation System and Reporting

Work in collaboration with PDQ and MEAL Manager/ Specialist in setting monitoring and performance benchmarks for the CMAM program.
Works with the MEAL dept to review and design M&E plan and data collection tools to support participatory monitoring on progress against SAM and MAM program indicators and train relevant staff of partner.
Supports, monitors and assist in quality of field data collection, consolidate, analyze and share findings widely for learning purposes and info sharing.
Contributes to the elaboration by reviewing the reports generated by partner on CARE internal and external reports (proposal, quarterly, final reports), with respect of the formats and deadlines.
Develop user-friendly reporting templates for monthly activity reports (compilation of the activities on the base(s) and activity report) with a qualitative look at the project and share the consolidated reports with Team Leader and EPP Coordinator.
Supports partner team to develop quality monthly activity reports presented to the health and nutrition authorities as and when required.
In coordination with relevant team members at CO, ensure the preparation of a timely program delivery and submitting the donor reports on project activities in compliance with internal CARE requirements and relevant external donor requirements.
Develop lessons learned and issue logs to inform senior management and EPP with rigorous follow ups and improving programming activities.

Job Responsibility #3:  Coordination and Liaison with Govt. and External Actors

Support in identifying and participates together with partners to nutrition and health meetings (with NGOs, MoH, UNICEF, WFP, WHO and donors) at field level and Islamabad as required.
Coordinate with relevant provincial authorities to initiate process of NOC and govt. permission to work in district.
Coordinate with the provincial health and nutrition cells, and other nutritional NGOs, UNICEF and WFP and local level, specifically EDO and PPHI for consolidated response.
Participating regularly in nutrition cells meetings and with all relevant partners at local level and participate to technical coordination forum.
Collect data from formal or informal meeting with other partners to get information on the nutrition needs in other areas of the country, and propose actions (assessments, surveys, program implementation) accordingly
Support the Team Leader that coordination and mainstreaming activities arising from alliances/consortia in the country are vigorously followed up.

Job Responsibility # 4: Program Supplies

Establish and connecting Nutrition interventions for the required support on CMAM program supplies from UNICEF and WFP.
Ensures that all nutrition supplies’ call-forwards are developed according to the required formats for both UNICEF and WFP.
Supports the Program managers follow the appropriate reporting procedures for monthly supplies accountability.
Ensure that supplies are procured timely and all PPP are developed in close working with partners and CARE operation team.

Job Responsibility # 5: Communication

Communicate regularly with partner for follow up, troubleshooting and technical and strategic advice.
Communicate with the logistics and administration departments in order to have a good follow up of respective departments (supply requests, stocks, pharmacy, etc. and budget and expense follow ups) and solve problems as they arise.
Communicate with other technical department in (WASH, FSL) for the information collection, understanding on the nutritional context, and coherence of intervention.
Other technical departments should be systematically consulted for any proposal writing for information sharing and analysis of the field situation. Survey/Assessment report which collects WASH or FSL information should be shared with and validated by respective coordinators to ensure integrated formulation and validity of recommendations.
Communicate externally with the other organizations and authorities on a regular basis under the supervision of Team Leader.

The duties and responsibilities described above are subject to change, depending on organizational needs.
Safety and Security is everyone’s responsibility within CI through full compliance and accountability (as per Principle of the CARE International Safety & Security Principles).

Maternal Newborn Health and Nutrition - MNHN Program.
Coordination, Advocacy and liaison

Develop links at the district levels   with DoH, including District Health Office, DDHO RMNCH, EPI and other health departments, Local Administration and all relevant development partners for improved program performance and implementation.
Maintain constant effective communication with key policy makers at district level for timely sharing of program related information highlighting gaps and challenges.
Advocate with the relevant district authorities to create an enabling environment for scaling up the intervention to whole district.
Ensure regular liaison with the Provincial Coordinator, National Coordinator and National Program Officer to ensure the MNHN work (around maternal, child and adolescent girls) is coordinated and in line with the objectives of the project
Operations Task Management and Field Operations 

 Planning

Ensure strategic planning under guidance of Provincial Coordinator, Sindh for timely implementation of the Annual Work plan activities, including M&E activities, meetings including reviews, visits to program area and facilities.
Retrieve a monthly plan from all field staff/implementing partners engaged in the implementation of the program at the district level.
Provide feedback to the PC, NPC/NPO on any modification required in the monthly plan.
Field operations planning and Field visits 
Compile & submit the district plan of training activities for different cadres after receiving of the same from government/ partners/IPs to your Provincial Coordinator.
Participate in important government planning meetings to further the mandate of the organization.

Capacity building

Consolidate district training plans in coordination with the partners, IPs and relevant health departments in timely manner.
Ensure timely implementation of all training initiatives at the district level.
Ensure that the technical teams in the field (field officers) undertake regular on-job capacity building of relevant government functionaries through review meetings and frequent field visits.

Strengthening supply and delivery system

Ensure timely delivery of supplies to the provinces in coordination with your supervisor and the Country Office team i.e., NPC/NPO.
Facilitate and ensure smooth and effective maintenance of supply chain mechanism for uninterrupted supply and distribution on regular basis to the program sites of: IFA tablet and; Training instruments and communication material.
Ensure that the district maintain logistics and un-interrupted distribution of the commodities; ensuring to highlight any issues that may impede regular distribution of commodities at the district level.
 Monitor the commodities supplies transfer, storage and distribution at district level. 

Support on data collection

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Provincial Coordinator, organize and carry out bi-weekly/monthly program review meetings with your supervisor.

·         Support the Project team, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, and another stakeholder such as the protection cluster in the identification of the humanitarian and protection issues in the affected area for timely advocacy initiatives on protection;

·         Develop learning needs assessment and capacity building plans for AWARE staff, linking capacity building initiatives to wider opportunities identified via coordination and networks;

·         Oversee development and delivery of technical training material that will improve aspects of Health, WASH livelihood and Education work within AWARE locally and nationally;
·         Promote a productive work environment respectful of the Code of Conduct and compliance with PSEA with zero tolerance for verbal and physical abuse or discrimination against other persons on the grounds of race, color, sex or creed.

Job responsibilities:

Guide the Nutrition team in broader coordination with other stockholders i.e. PPHI, DHO, and other Social Organizations.
Define program implementation modalities (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.) in coordination with the District Nutrition Officer, Social Mobilization Officer, and field team.
Ensure quality and integrity of implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, administrative systems, and established deadlines. Identify and respond to related staff capacity-building priorities.
Develop regular project monitoring that includes participatory methods, program progress, the effectiveness of Shifa Foundation facilitation, progress toward achieving targets, ability to measure stated indicators, program adherence to a methodology, budget expenditure, etc.

5 WMOs (Gynecologists), 32 LHWs and Mid Wives 10 Nutrition Assistants (Team Leaders), 10 Nutrition Promoters, 10 TSFP – Assistants, 10 IYCF Counselors. 
Job Responsibilities:

To supervise and monitor program implementation, tracking procurements and spending, and ensure effective systems in place for uninterrupted supply of nutrition stock, medicines, and program supplies to facilities.
To technically supervise subordinates to ensure timely program updates and reporting; monitor and analyze program outputs, and nutrition program data.
To conduct field visits to ensure effective and quality program management and implementation.
To prevent and control gaps against targets, and share lessons learned from program implementation to contribute towards effective integrated nutrition programming.
To provide technical inputs for generating quality monthly program reports, and donor reporting both technical and financial.
To technically monitor program progress against set targets, objectives, and indicators.

Skill Enhancing and Research Home of the Children is a nonprofit organization. In my recent experience as Program Manager at SEARCH, I am responsible for leading the digital registered educational campaign, Thar Education Alliance; through lobbying, action-based advocacy in print, electronic and social media, political platforms, education-focused organizations, line departments, and masses to amplify the message around access to quality education for every child. Besides this campaign, I oversee service delivery projects in the areas; water and sanitation, youth empowerment, and drought risk mitigation. My key responsibilities include; planning, fundraising, coordination with donors, public departments, and training of Volunteers, Education Department officials, and youth on Social Media and Digital Media Marketing. Thar Education Alliance is a registered digital media campaign of SEARCH. Under the umbrella of Thar Education Alliance, I have managed some mega-events, Here I have managed two mega-events besides dozens of district-level events.

Aurat Publication and Information Service Foundation (Aurat Foundation/AF) is committed to creating widespread awareness and commitment for a just, democratic and caring society in Pakistan. I worked with AF in a project of the National SocioEconomic Registry, where my responsibilities were, Preparation for data collection (survey) in the field, Execution of the survey, Social Mobilization and Communication activities, and Completion of the survey. Working with AF I have trained hundreds of Social Mobilizers, Listers, Enumerators, and Supervisors for the execution of all planned activities during the survey. NSER activities were comoleted successfuly in my assigned areas. 

Managed with the implementation of WASH projects: (Provision of Safe drinking water to drought-affected communities of District Tharparkar through solar energy solutions – Penny Appeal & Small scale WASH interventions in Thar- QWT, Provision of Safe drinking water to drought-affected communities of District Tharparkar through solar energy solutions – Minhaj Welfare Foundation) experiencing some successful stories of Kitchen Gardening and Strengthened economies in Thar.

During the CMAM project, managed to work with two separate themes, Infant and Young Feeding Counseling and Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition. He was In- charge of 3 Nutrition Stabilization Centers, NSC- THQ Chachro, NSC- THQ Nagarparkar, and NSC DHQ Mithi. He managed to work with a huge team. The team comprises of 3 Medical Officers, 10 Staff nurses, 11 Nutrition Assistants cum Team leaders, 11 IYCF Counselors and 11 Community Mobilizers, 206 Marvi Workers (Community based Nutrition Workers), and 218 Lady Health Workers. In addition, He has mobilized more than 200 families and 6 villages; were refusal to any readymade product/ food including polio vaccination.

Mr. Maha Dev joined CRF as a field officer and He was promoted two times to Project Manager and later District Manager Tharparkar, He played a significant role in designing need-based projects and Implemented 5 projects with fruitful results, raised funds for the designed projects through presenting the case studies onTakbir TV and Prime TV for two years. During services at CRF, he designed and raised funds for two Mega Projects “Mussart Awan Hospital Deeplo” (Under Process) and“Paras Maternity and New Born Care Center – Umerkot” (Completed Functional). He always ensured utilization of Human Rights and Assets as per SOP, a Highprofessional and humanitarian office environment, and built high-performing teams for emergency response during the drought situations in Tharparkar. Worked at Jhang (Punjab) during the emergency in Flood.
