Analyze epidemiological data and work with Ministries of Health (MOH) and other international organizations (NGOs, and other Public Health organizations) to create solutions to problems that arise in polio eradication and VPD program implementation and outbreak response. Participate with Polio Eradication Branch team leads in development and implementation of field project plans addressing routine immunization, data quality or surveillance, outbreak investigation, and vaccination campaigns. Use historical polio data to improve outreach activities. Analyze World Health Organization (WHO), Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), or host country partner epidemiologic data as it relates to VPD surveillance, disease transmission and outbreaks for use by Donor in documentation, data management and legacy planning. Participate in activities designed to promote polio, measles and other emerging vaccine preventable disease eradication, routine immunization, data quality and surveillance of new vaccines. Attend meetings and webinars with international and local partners in order to stay abreast of the most current developments in the outbreak and status of worldwide eradication. Incorporate and share lessons learned and best practices developed during work conducted on Donor polio eradication projects with country and field staff. Provide evidence-based technical advice for implementation of polio eradication activities (such as immunization campaigns or supplemental immunizations) that are appropriate to the circumstances in endemic countries and/or countries with outbreaks of polio or other VPDs such as measles. Participate in activities designed to promote polio, measles and other emerging vaccine preventable disease eradication, routine immunization, data quality and surveillance of new vaccines. Attend meetings and webinars with international and local partners in order to stay abreast of the most current developments in the outbreak and status of worldwide eradication. Incorporate and share lessons learned and best practices developed during work conducted on Donor polio eradication projects with country and field staff. Provide technical advice to Donor’s Strategic Information and Workforce Development (SIWD) Branch of the Global Immunization Division (GID) regarding the training and field work of National Stop Transmission of Polio (NSTOP), and Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) teams.

·        As a deputy head of the district health administration and responsible to achieve the health goals in the district through proper planning and budgeting effective implementation, human resource management, monitoring service quality, and ideally allocating resources to most effectively meet local population needs.
·        Facilitate, coordinate, supervise, monitor and implement the provision of all the Health sector Atcs, Policies, rules & regulations and Guidelines for the public safety and interest.
·        Monitoring and supervision of all promotive, preventive curative, rehabilitative and restorative healthcare activities in the district.
·        Responsible for coordination with all the Government departments, INGOs/NGOs, partners organizations, social and community leaders.
·        Responsible to manage affairs of primary health care facilities across the province.
·        To ensure effective implementation and achievement of the targets under the National/provincial vertical programs through supportive supervision i.e. Expanded Program on Immunization, Polio Eradication Initiative, Maternal and neonatal child health, National TB control Program, National Leprosy eradication program, National AIDS and Hepatitis control program, National Program for control of Blindness, Integrated Diseases surveillance and response program, Integrated Vector born Disease control Program, Mental Health Program, Thalassemia and safe blood program and other programs working the District.
·        Prepare an annual data base for emerging pattern of disease through collection of data and plan appropriate intervention for effective prevention and control of diseases in the District.
·        Effectively implement the diseases identification and early notification system for the seasonal diseases and outbreaks and take effective steps for prevention and control.
·        Ensure surveillance and effective measures for the prevention and control of the VPDs.
·        Identify cases of maternal and child health mobility and mortality and take measure for reduction.
·        Take necessary steps to involve community leaders, NGOS/CBOS, social and religious leaders and other Government departments and other public representatives in planning and implementation of health and family planning programs.
·        Ensure effective and prompt implementation of ongoing projects and achievements of physical, financial targets through respective officers.
·        Supervise through review meetings with Hospital in-charges, nursing and paramedical staff in district and visiting the Health facilities and maintain HMIS and Validating HMIS data.
·        Carry out surprise inspection of all the subordinate offices and take follow actions and ensure availability of all health workers and furnish monthly reports to regional and provincial authorities.
·        Posting, transfer and hiring including redistribution of medical, nursing and paramedical in district and ensure that the problems and grievances of the staff are solved smoothly.
·        Identify low performing institution and workers and remedial actions for optimum performance including due actions against non-performers.
·        Ensure timely and adequate supply of drugs and equipment with adequate buffers for all emergencies and particularly epidemics and floods, maintaining contingency plan for disasters.
·        Preparation of district health plan and operations of PHCs and SCs operationalization.
·        Feasibility and proposal reports preparation, preparation of PC-1 for civil work, land identification for Primary and secondary healthcare and opening new health facilities.
·        Monitoring and supervision visit to Health facilities under the administrative responsibilities to take prompt action in case of deficiencies at these institutes.
·        Ensure the availability of stocks, human resources, equipment, and infrastructure and check annual development schemes, monitor developmental projects and proposals.
·        Prepare an annual budget for the facilities in their respective districts.
·        Ensure proper utilization of funds as per the guidelines and GFR provisions and furnish accounts for all the funds received in district including societies and committees for health facilities. Monitoring and guide the activities of SHC/PHC committees.
·        Ensuring auditing procedures are completed well in advance and audit reports are furnished to al the concerned authorities.

Develop a national guideline on COVID surveillance and national Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) and Pharmacovigilance guideline for the new Covid-19 vaccine. 
Work closely with the Emergency Operation Canter (EOC) and National institute of health (NIH) and AEFI National committee to provide technical advice on the institutionalization of data collection on COVID and AEFI and.
Promote both National and Provincial local milestones and indicators (by adding new indicators and modifying current indicators) for measuring the COVID and COVAX Adverse Event following Immunization (AEFI) reporting and surveillance performance 
Support capacity building of surveillance staff on COVID surveillance and COVAX AEFI field investigation, detection, data management, and response.

To oversee the Reproductive Health program in the field locations and supervising the implementation of the three core aspects of reproductive health: 1) Safe motherhood and Family Planning; 2) Post Abortion Care (PAC) and; 3) Emergency Obstetrical Care, under the supervision of the District Health officer and Provincial Program Manager.
