Conducts walkthrough audits, site surveys, safety walk & spot audits of construction site.  Reports daily findings to concerned project engineer/Safety Section.   Keeps a data of audits along with track record compilation of highlighted issues.  Participates & ensures that the line management/contractor holds daily safety Toolbox talks.   Highlights observations in the safety talks. Ensures that all injuries/incident/MSA reports are discussed in the TBT.  Strives for minimum injuries at the site with zero fatalities / lost workday injuries.   Ensure the compliance of Site cardinal rules at Expansion Site.  Ensure the Compliance of EPCL HSE policy i.e., Lose Dress policy, Smoking Policy, Mobile phone policy & Speed policy etc.  Ensure the craft wise jobs & right tool for the right job.  Ensures requirements of PTW, work at height, JSAs, rigging protocol, man lifting in cradle etc. are compiled in the field.   Conduct monthly audits as per audit plan and report to HSE Engineer/Lead and its report is shared for corrective action.  Ensure that necessary trainings are being imparted as per yearly training calendar.  Ensure that all the near misses/incidents are reported as per EPCL protocols.  Ensure that are the jobs are being conducted under the approved JSA/Work permit and compliance is being ensured.  Launch and actively participate in HSE campaigns at site to promote safety culture at site.

Play an integral role in assessing and evaluating risk of plant premises and steering HSE performance review meetings to oversee waste as per EMS. Conduct emission analysis of the plant and HSE drills for the organization in accordance with business plans. Hold full accountability for incident, accident, and near miss investigation reporting, traffic management, and firefighting equipment inspection. Function in close collaboration with all government regulatory authorities and third party agencies to streamline all safety activities.
