DISASTER RISK REDUCTION OFFICER
Capacity development:
· Trained and enhanced the capacity and of government authorities, civil society organizations, local communities and practitioners on disaster planning, resiliency, school safety and Sendai framework for Disaster Risk Reduction
· Provide technical assistance to Aga Khan Agency for Habitat to develop a district risk reduction action plan and to align plans with Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
· Made school safety plans for more the 25 different prone schools in UC Shehikoh, Madaklasht and Garumchashama
Emergency Assistance
· Responded various emergency response (Flood & Earthquake), operation and provided relief to more than 1500 households and arranged emergency shelters for more than 800 households in district Chitral of Pakistan
· Enhanced disaster management operations in Chitral and engaged more than 1200 local volunteers in emergency response team
· Monitored and evaluate ongoing response and relief work in the affected area and identified gaps and challenges to enhance future shortcomings
Finance management
Work with the finance department to ensure the effective management of the RNE Phase II budget, with full compliance to Royal Norwegian Embassy donor regulations.
Identify potential variances of expenses against budget and recommend appropriate adjustments
