The present power usage reading is made manually by moving to the consumer locations. This requires large number of labor operators and long working hours to accomplish the task and theft of electricity is also common factor in our society. Some people use electricity for 3 months or more than three that have some references and not pay the electricity bill. Then company disconnects user but bill is not paid by user. So it’s loss of company, and also the labor expense for disconnecting the connection. Manual billing is sometimes restricted and delayed by bad weather conditions. The printed billing also has the tendency of getting lost. Energy management system is usually an electronic system that records consumption of electric energy & communicates that information between consumer & supplier for monitoring and billing. The smart city consists of different zones, each zone act like a grid providing electricity to houses. Since the system records the energy consumption of each house individually as well as each zone and transmit the energy consumption to the central server. Consumers can easily check their energy consumption.
