At present (Since January-2016), I’m working as Resident Engineer in Techno Consult International Pvt.Ltd. (Water &Energy Division) since January 2016, at USAID sponsored project of Water Supply System for Jacobabad city, under the supervision of Municipal Services Delivery Program (MSDP) Govt. of Sindh. Here my key responsibilities are overall supervision to the construction of Rapid Sand Filter Water Treatment Plant, Lagoons, Over Head Reservoirs, laying of MS and HDPE Pipes, House hold connections, verification of Contractor’s claimed IPCs, updating Milestones, Finance of each Contract packages and resolving the local community problems etc.

Here my responsibilities were to look after the construction of residential & office buildings, various RCC foundations for heavy machines and trains, Storm water drains, Plain concrete passages and paths, fencings, watch towers and warehouses. Preparing the contractors claims, planning for labor parties for each activity, arranging and participating weekly, monthly meetings for progress and HSE etc.

I have been working with Umar Munshi Associates as Assistant Resident Engineer for the construction of Govt. schools in District Kashmore , under Reform Support Unit, Govt. of Sindh a World Bank funded Project, for Sindh Education Reform program. During this job, I have been monitoring and supervising the construction of school works from layout to finishing according to design and specification, supporting in preparation of BOQs, detail estimates, surveying of Govt. schools according to World Bank’s Standard, coordination between RSU and District Officials, justification of contractors’ claims and regularly attending various training work shops/ programs by RSU.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Execution and supervision of layout, reinforcement, formwork and concrete work for;
 Turbo compressors, CO2 skid and emergency diesel generation foundations.
 Pipe racks, pipe bridges, nitrogen shelter, oil coolers, air coolers, air intakes, slug catcher, vessels, platforms, pipe support foundations and their pedestal columns.
 Hydrants, monitors and fire hose reels foundation slabs.
 Oily sewer pits, E & I Cable pits bases and walls.
 Paving of turbo compressors, air coolers, nitrogen shelter, slug catcher and diesel tank.
 Walkways, sideways, R.C.C piping trench, foundations for, piping protection slabs.
 Pipe crossing culvert and E & I Building foundations, columns, beams, side R.C walls, parapet walls and slabs.
 Roof treatment (primer coating, Dow matt sheets, bitumen felt and slope concrete etc) and block masonry of E & I Building.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Checking and execution of the excavation for project up to 9 meters below the ground level for double basement.
• Checking and execution the alignment of footings, pedestal columns, shear walls, retaining walls, elevators, escalators and ramp by total station machine.
• Checking & supervision of reinforcement and form works for above structural members. Retaining wall about 1 (one) kilometer length in perimeter and up to 9 meters high.
• Preparing the shop drawings.
• Checking & supervision of water-proofing work outside the retaining wall up to (9 meters height), three layers of bitumen felt after primer and one layer protection with expansion joint sealant.
• Checking & supervision of perforated pipes fixed on the heel of retaining wall.
• Checking & supervision for fixing of anchor bolts on pedestal columns, shear walls, elevator and escalator walls by total station machine to proceed the pre-cast columns, beams and slab up to 8th.floor.

• Checking the alignments of isolated footings, combined footings and columns in various projects of villas, shopping malls, flats and factories.
• Preparing 0f bar bending schedules.
• Checking and supervision of footings, pedestal columns, tie beams (plinth beams), superstructure columns, beams, slabs, parapet walls, underground and overhead tanks.
• Checking & supervision of form work (shuttering work) for above structure.
