Joined as Deputy Manager (Investment) in Pakistan Re-Insurance Company Limited, sole reinsurer company of the country. I am managing portfolio of PKR ~11 billion and responsible for efficient utilization of surplus funds. I am investing in both fixed income and equity securities. I also make proposals for investment in mutual funds considering different parameters including AMCs, Funds and Funds̢۪ Manager. Along with asset management I am also handling back office operations and accounting matters related to investment and hence developed strong understanding of IAS 39 and IFRS 9.
Since my joining investment income is increased by more than ~30%. Improved the efficiency of investment department by active decision making and timely preparation of investment proposals.

At PACRA I was responsible for detailed credit analysis, preparation of sector studies, detailed credit reports of companies and sectors under coverage.
Core responsibilities:
§ Covered Telecommunication, Auto & Allied, Microfinance, IPPs and Rice sector.
§ Carried out in-depth fundamental analysis and publish reports on the sector and companies under coverage.
§ Carried out detailed discussion with sponsors of different clients.
§ Meeting managements, industry players and channel partners for the better understanding of the companies under coverage and sector.
§ Presentation of credit ratings to credit committee.
 
Initially joined as Research Analyst and promoted to Senior Financial Analyst in a year. Assigned credit ratings to more than ~20 clients and ~7 debt instruments highest amongst peers. Actively attended all training arranged by company.

Joined as research analyst and promoted during my stay. I have worked as research analyst and also got opportunity to work in compliance and risk management. Developed whole compliance and risk management framework of the company and also served and compliance officer. Passed capital markets certification, Fundamentals of Capital Market and Pakistan Capital Market Regulations, with distinction.
