Load Shedding Management Using PLC and SCADA”

The project demonstrates a load-shedding management system using (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (supervisory control and data Acquisition). The work can be dissected into three portions i.e. hardware, software and the interfacing within. From the hardware perspective, the work consists of a prototype circuit containing SPDT relays for controlling various loads. Colored bulbs are connected to indicate switching of lines. Further, Fatek PLC 14MC is used for controlling the load shedding by receiving instructions (control-signal) from SCADA application designed in Win Log. Observations and discussion complemented with result emphasize the importance of our work and points to its feasibility in conventional settings. The main objective of this project is to replace the manual load shedding system with automatic system that can accurately perform the load shedding without any waste of time in this project all the areas can be seen through visual indications. To introduce project in power sector and industries to control monitoring, interlocking and distributed control and protection for system safety and reliability and enhancement.
