The HR Department of Adamjee Insurance Company offered me ample space and opportunities, not only to learn but to exhibit my capabilities and skills as a HR team member. I could use my theoretical knowledge of HR functions while performing various tasks assigned by the supervisors. I also attempted to gather more information on basic job functions of other departments to have a better understanding of the relation between them and the HR department. As an intern, i was exposed to a whole range of exciting areas such as recruitment, training & development, job grading, organizational design, performance management and compensation and benefits. I gained experience by working with HR employees who planned and administered career development schemes, advertised vacancies, interviewed and selected the most suitable candidates, ensured timely filling of vacancies,carried out job analysis and evaluation and administered policies and regulations concerning payment of salaries and allowances.
