Project Intern
Worked on a project \'To study materials flow and implement FIFO in warehouse\'.
- Learned tools to identify problems i.e. fishbone and pareto analysis.
- Solved issues of overstocking, retreival of fabric rolls, limited warehouse capcity to meet high production rate, improved visibilty, improved space utilization and limited technical facilities.
- Evaluated the existed scenario and proposed ideas for FIFO implementation.
- Established a restricted system for FIFO implementation, new process flow for materials inside warehouse and redesigned layout of warehouse.
- Proposed three ideas i.e. on rack system and bin system.
- Proposed ideas on kanban system, PTL devices, numeric display, front face bins and tagging on rolls, floor palletizing, adjustable forklifter attachment and rack system.
- Validate ideas through break-even point in days and ROI.
- Successfully, idea on bin system was approved.
