Design and fabrication of electricity generation through Speed Breakers

In this project we emphasized on an Eco-friendly procedure to utilize the energy wasted on the roads every day. We constructed an apparatus in which the energy of the tier is converted into linear motion by compression and expansion. Then this linear motion energy is converted into circular motion through rack and pinion mechanism. Further the rack and pinion mechanism is connected with the permanent magnetic generator (PMDC) through shaft by one end. The other end of the shaft is associated with flywheel which stores energy. When the circular motion energy is provided to PMDC the electricity is produced. Which is further connected with batteries for charging. The purpose of the batteries is to provide continuous output of power. By single compression the generator produces 270W of energy. Overall in this mechanism the energy of the tire of the any vehicle is firstly converted into mechanical energy by compression and then the same energy is converted into electrical energy through rack and pinion mechanism
