Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions to meet the organization's data requirements.
- Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to gather database requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and implement efficient database structures, schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support application functionality.
- Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal efficiency and response times.
- Conduct database capacity planning and forecasting to meet current and future data storage needs.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control, encryption, and data masking.
- Strong proficiency in database development, administration, and optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and SQL.
- Experience with database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Knowledge of database monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with database version control and change management processes.
The desired candidate should be:
- Certified as an OCP
- 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Hands on with Oracle Enterprise 11g and newer versions
- Experience of all vital functions of Oracle Enterprise including backup and recovery, data guard, Oracle tuning etc.
