We are looking for a Senior Drupal Developer primarily responsible for back-end/module development.
Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
Job Description Skills and Qualifications
· Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
· Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture
· Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels
· Experience creating custom Drupal modules
· Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, SQL, JavaScript/jQuery and related technologies
· In-depth knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
· Advanced knowledge of Drush, Drupal’s command line interface. Advanced knowledge of Git version control
· Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
· Proactive engagement in project challenges and problem solving sessions
· Contribute in brainstorming, planning, and strategy sessions.
Requirements:
· 5+ years of development experience with Drupal
· Strong working knowledge of PHP with OOP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, SQL and related technologies and standards.
· Proven experience with custom module development
· Development and administration of MySQL
· Strong understanding of Drupal 7 and 8 environments and compatible modules
· In-depth knowledge of Multilingual and Multisite Drupal websites.
· Experience developing with APIs and web services
· Experience setting up, configuring, administering, and maintaining Drupal sites
· Ability to work well under pressure and stick to deadlines on a variety of tasks
· Good knowledge of Apache, its configuration and issues
· Take direction well, but be self-driven
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, but can be substituted with years of experience
· Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing.
Bonus Experience
If you have experience in one or more of the following, we would be thrilled:
· Expertise in Linux, especially with shell commands.
· Expertise in Magento 1 and 2.
· Working knowledge of other CMSs would be a plus but not required.
· Drupal development certification or recognition from Acquia or similar is a plus.
