SEO Expert (Technical)
This role involves improving search engine optimization of E-Commerce websites. We are looking for Technically Sound, passionate, quick solution-driven people who want to join a high energy, growth team.
Job Description
- Review technical SEO issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Implement SEO recommendations for website architecture, content, internal linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and online visibility.
- Understand category and product level behaviors in order to improve relevancy of search results
- Create and modify dynamic search-related landing pages to support an improved onsite experience
- Work with the client’s website developer to implement analytics code, metadata, tracking pixels, work out tracking and other technical issues
- Landing page optimization, and conversion optimization
- Understanding of how to improve crawl budget, remedy site performance issues, and implement/troubleshoot structured data using a variety of tools like Screaming Frog, SEM Rush, AHRefs, Google Analytics, GSC and GTM.
- Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals
- Keep pace with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and developments
Competencies
- A Functional understanding of back-end elements such as HTML, CSS, robots.txt, metadata, etc.
- Experience with technical SEO analysis, site analysis and implementation experience on a large scale E-Commerce platform
- Experience managing a portfolio of digital products, websites and mobile
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Screaming Frog
- Strong knowledge of crawling and indexing process, including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, 301 redirects and how they affect indexation
- Familiarity with web development processes, including important points at which SEO should be considered
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how they relate to SEO
- Demonstrate knowledge of how page load and server response time impact SEO
- Apply and be able to explain SEO best practices for site nav, breadcrumbs, internal links, etc to clients
- Ability to conduct critical analysis and identify key insights
