JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plan and Support

Establish practices and methods to develop appropriate financial systems and procedures in accordance with PTCL policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
Supports Region's Management in achieving financial targets by providing sound financial advice through financial analysis, control and administration/management.

Prepare Financial Management Reports

Supervise the preparation of needed periodical financial management reports based upon information regarding customer / receivable data, revenues & expenses and assets & liabilities
Regional profit & loss reporting.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness of financial management reports and adherence to PTCL policies, accounting standards and internal controls.

Dissemination of Information

Ensure the communication of financial directives to the Regional Office/s regarding the accounting policies and procedures to ensure a fair, equitable and consistent application of the directives.

Oversees Financial Activities

Establish and maintain funds control by managing region wide funds accounting; bank and cash and A/R accounting.
Reviews all Ledgers, financial statement preparation and approve Bank Reconciliation statements.
Directs the receivable and collection function of the Regions.

Coordinate in Budget Preparation and Allocation

Coordinate with the HQ in preparation of annual budgets by providing needed region-wise information.
Usage of periodical budget allocation in accordance with business needs.

Control Activities

Ensure compliance of financial activities in accordance with budgetary targets ensuring transparent implementation of PTCL policies and internal controls & Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
