Senior Manager (Managed Security Service Provider)

OVERVIEW:

The MSSP/SOC Operations Senior Manager is key leadership role. You will lead in designing current and future solutions to continuously improve PTCL’s MSSP offerings.

The MSSP/SOC Operations Manager is responsible for building the team and driving successful delivery of security services including security monitoring, incident response, forensic investigations, threat hunting and vulnerability management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center.
Oversee SOC’s daily operations and provide support to all SOC personnel to ensure all MSSP deliverables are met within SLAs.
Take a leading role in designing, developing and implementing new MSSP offerings, as well as updating existing MSSP offerings.
Work closely with other teams and departments to successfully deliver MSSP services to customers.
Management, administration & maintenance of security technologies under the purview of the MSSP offering.
Develop and maintain SOC policies and standard operating procedures.
Manage and supervise SOC staff.
Coach, mentor, and develop technical skills of SOC staff.
Enable SOC operations to act as CERT (Computer emergency response team) to proactive act against potential threats.
Identify, define, and catalog publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities and patch systems and publish advisories to end users for mitigation.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

BS or higher level degree in relevant field (CS, IT)
10+ years in cybersecurity with 4 to 5 years working in or closely with an MSSP/SOC
In-depth knowledge of current threat landscape, adversary TTPs, and cyber kill chain.
Hands on experience with various security technologies related to SOC such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, sandboxing, endpoint protection, and SOAR etc.
Experience in Incident Management and Response, threat hunting, penetration testing/Red teaming, and vulnerability assessments.
Ability to analyze customer threat trends and threat posture and provide security advice.
Technical ability to function as incident response escalation when needed
Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation for customers and executive management
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Certifications: Relevant certifications from SANS, Offensive Security or equivalent
