To operate effectively as part of a team of academic, Research technical and administrative colleagues to facilitate learning, Implement the academic plan of the faculty circulated by the University to the highest quality through teaching, administration and advice work.
- Meet annual targets assigned by the HOD/Principal.
- To work to appropriate targets as set by the Dean/Principal of University to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
- To teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.
- Continue to develop own teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs.
- Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during the lessons.
- Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
- Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements.
- Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.
- To maintain the record of students’ academic record of the subject for internal evaluation in the Examinations.
- Execute mentoring of 15 to 20 students as per Riphah Mentoring Program.
- Update data in VLE and other required software’s as per requirements.
- To link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.
- Participate in activities of departmental and university committees.
- Ensure that the teaching content and methods of delivery are in accordance with RIU mission and respond to issues relating to subordinates and student needs.
- Supervise/ random check of student attendance in classes/ labs/ practical.
- Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media.
- Seek practical application of research findings.
- Promote new and applied knowledge of the relevant discipline through peer-reviewed publications.
- Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
- Act as a referee and contribute to peer assessment.
- Act as a line manager, supervising the work of others, for example in research teams, projects, or as PhD supervisor when required.
- Any additional Duty assigned by the HOD within the scope of this job.
