- Develop and write the stories/ features / opinion pieces.
- Liaise with designers and printers for all production issues.
- Develop promotional opportunities and ideas from conception to delivery.
- Conduct interviews / surveys and have an eye for detail.
- Check text to ensure it is well written, formatted and logically structured.
- Check illustrations and captions are correct.
- Look out for potential legal problems and discuss them with the publisher.
- Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate the company message to their existing customers.
- Check proofs and pages for whole journal content.
- Correct manuscripts for factual errors by making extensive, meticulous research, correct logical errors.
- Work with in-house team, brief, advise them with regard to proposal style, format, print production and timescales.
- Participate in content planning.
- Cultivate sources in different areas for writing features.
- Do the translation (from English to Urdu and vice versa) as per requirement.
- Coordinate with contributors.
- Assist department head in magazine promotion and related activities.
- Keep himself/herself up to date technically for applying new knowledge to the job.
- Be able to work accordingly to deadlines.
- Assist associate and assistant editors.
