Supervisory Responsibility:
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for royalty reporting, billing, collections, payroll, budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Recruits and hires royalty, accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibility:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions, budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return and VAT compliance where applicable.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 5 years of experience
- Advanced Excel skills, QuickBooks and impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience using high volumes of data and reconciling various sources of data
- Highly motivated and organized with excellent time management skill
- A strong analytical background and excellent client service, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Passion for music and numbers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment with tight deadline.
