ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are an Agri tech platform that connects farmers to retailers. SimpliAgro aims to empower the farmer by eliminating the conventional middle man and bridge the gap between the farmer and the market by eliminating market inefficiencies resulting in greater value for farmers, retailers, and consumers alike.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Assistant buyer Fruit & Vegetable is a key member of the Purchasing team & commercially responsible for the procurement of Fresh Fruit and Fresh Vegetables

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Visit wholesale mandi for prices check and perform buying activity on a regular basis.
Check and verify suppliers' purchases and strictly monitor the buying.
Negotiate with suppliers for best buying.
Consolidate store orders and give orders to suppliers accordingly.
Prepare price comparisons from different wholesale markets
Assist the buyer in the process of determination and change in the purchase and sale prices.
Visit, Evaluate and select adequate suppliers and assist the buyer in the decision of the terms and conditions.
Determine and continuously maintain the ideal assortment for the given area, in terms of turnover, profit, and stock level.
To conduct market analysis.
To keep the record of the changes in articles and prepare action plans.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong customer handling experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong negotiating skills
Fluent in speaking Punjabi
Knowledge of assortment on the given purchase field
Proactive approach
Relationship Management & Cross-Functional working approach

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Min. F.A Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Min. 1-2 years practical Procurement experience, within the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable category
Must have strong knowledge of the routes in Lahore City
