As a database administrar, you will be responsible primarily responsible for the maintenance and performance of databases, to ensure the availability and optimal performance.
This includes proven track record of writing SQL DDL and DML.

What will you do?

Job Role and Duties:

Strong proficiency in MySQL and Document database management.
Managing large scale MySQL databasess and high transaction volume.
Experience with Replication and Cluster configuration in MySQL.
Hands on experience with designing and implementing database replication strategies.
Knowledge of MySQL Enterprise Edition would prefer.
Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users.
Maintain an optimized SQL environment, health monitoring and housekeeping.
Maintain data standards, including adherence to all Privacy laws.
Ensure database security, including backups and recovery.
Script and maintain test and demonstration datasets.
Automate archival and / or obfuscation of old data.
Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
Production support, problem diagnosis, problem resolution.
Ability to work independently, are flexible, self-motivated and a team player.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 4 years experience in Database Administration.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer science.
Demonstrable experience as a Database Administrator. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done.
