The Role: Due Diligence & Audit Specialist

Grade: 10 (For internal candidates)

The Impact:

The Sales & Marketing organization drives growth for the Market Intelligence division and S&P Global through strong customer partnerships and innovative marketing to expand our footprint in the market.

The Proposal/Response Management Team is part of the broader Sales Strategy & Operations. An enabling function to qualify, review, and respond to RFXs, proposals (Standard/Custom), questionnaires, and other customer audits/queries. Our goal is to enable new revenue generation via RFX & deliver superior customer satisfaction by providing high-quality proposals & relevant information during pre/post-sales. We serve a vast array of clients across geographies and are committed to the client-first mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management for client audits & respond to Due Diligence questionnaires.
  • Maintains awareness of internal controls and audit trends to assure audit process remains effective.
  • Preparing Due Diligence decks, General Questionnaire Responses, RFP/RFIs and Presentations.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders such as sales, product, legal, and information security to respond to customer requests and create accurate, persuasive, and cogent response documents.
  • Ensuring that responses are accurate, timely and comply with company standards.
  • Assist with overall communication and approvals for responses which represent our entire organization.
  • Assist with our centralized database processes, policies and procedures to drive improvement in tools and content.
  • This individual will work closely with business and technical leads towards building consistent and accurate responses and must understand the product solution and platform from a business and technical perspective.
  • Tracking to completion action items raised during risk assessments and audits.
  • Queue Management and Responding to the requesters with the ETA.

What We’re Looking For:

Business competency:

  • Project Management - Familiarity with the client audit/vendor management process and compliance considerations, especially within the banking industry, and ability to manage both the process and stakeholders involved.
  • Business Acumen – a firm knowledge, insight, and understanding of business risk management, global financial markets and financial products, business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; and the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Understanding of RFP/RFI process, Information Security, Risk, Vulnerability and Business Continuity preferred.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking – Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
  • Effective Communications – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Internal Controls – Knowledge of and ability to create, implement, evaluate and enhance processes in internal controls.

  • Possess excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Basic Qualifications:

Masters in Project Management,

Preferred Qualifications/ Knowledge Areas:

  • Audit & vendor due diligence:
    • 4 - 7 years of relevant experience Customer/Vendor Audits and Vendor Due-diligence
    • 3rd party risk audit would be preferred
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
  • Security controls, and risk management procedures for SaaS-based products
  • Vendor management processes
