Job Title:          IT Procurement Manager

Reports To:      Production Manager

Department:     Procurement

   Summary:   IT Procurement Manager manages activities in the information technology procurement function (hardware, storage devices, SAN, NAS, SSD, servers etc.). Ensures products and services are purchased from US market (preferably from California) in the most cost- and time-efficient manner. Evaluate and take vendors on board as per define procedures.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Manages execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, negotiation strategy, and cost accountability.
  2. Build strong relationship with distributor’s and able to get quotations from different vendors in order to make decision on the basis of price, quality and delivery timelines.
  3. Able to fetch maximum information from vendor like return policy, average shipment time etc. s
  4. Plan and execute effective vendor selection and management with a view to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply.
  5. Reviews changes in price trends and manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to ensure successful procurement process.
  6. Monitors and coordinates suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
  7. Process purchase orders, negotiates prices to support the procurement process in US market.
  8. Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.
  9. Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
  10. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
  11. Reports to Senior Manager, Procurement and has already worked with US suppliers across varied time zones and flexibility with core working hours.

Job Specifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT or business-related degrees are required. MBA is a plus.

Experience: - Have at least 3 -4 years of relevant experience in the US market preferably in IT sector

Skill: Strong planning/project management skills, accountability, and follow through.

Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) from blue collar to executive audiences. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (ability to evaluate situations with multiple complex dimensions simultaneously).

Proactively meets challenges head-on with a can-do approach Experience engaging with IT hardware vendors, distributors and suppliers in US market is preferred.
