Data Management Officer will be responsible for management of data of the PPM project. S/he will be providing project related data to the PR unit (Mercy Corps) on the prescribed formats and will also coordinate internally with the District Field Officer (DFS), Regional Coordinator (RC) and Project Manager (PM), and externally with the PR to ensure that data is entered in a timely way, is validated, and quality and timely reports are generated through the system. S/he will support the DFS in review of the monthly work plans and project reports and will provide feedback to the project team regarding the quality and accuracy of reported data

  • Support the DFS and RC in reviewing monthly work plans and monthly and quarterly project reports in light of the performance framework
  • Ensure that the data is recorded and reported correctly on the prescribed formats and is submitted timely to the PR. Coordinate with RC and DFS in this regard and conduct field visits as required
  • Validate the data reported by the DFS
  • Timely update data management tools for the project given by PR
  • Generate monthly, quarterly and as required reports from the database/MIS
  • Coordinate with PR unit and DFS to ensure that database is updated regularly and updated information is provided to the PR unit.
  • Provide day to day guidance to DFS for quality data management
  • Provide technical support to the DFS and other project staff in quality data management
  • Conduct regular field visits for the purpose of data quality assurance
  • Conduct periodic data quality audits and other related assessments/reviews in coordination with PM
  • Work closely with RC for the development of quarterly progress report, PR and other reviews
  • Collect and report age and sex disaggregated data on quarterly basis to the PR    
  • Prepare graphic presentations for internal and external meetings
  • Ensure implementation of SPO policies and procedures at all levels; and follow SPOs safety and security protocols at all times
  • Any other task assigned by superviso

  • Participate in programme planning and review meetings
  • Adhere to SPO policies and promote participatory culture and demonstrate SPO’s values
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
