we are currently looking to hire Business Development Managers (BDMs) urgently who can look for and cater to potential clients and business partners. The BDM will be required to provide product and service information to prospective clients that the company provides. The BDM will also be responsible for on-boarding new clients and allowing them to settle into the sales flow. The BDM will be responsible for managing and executing the business strategy and market intent, and also to respond to RFP's and tenders, as well as to develop sales in new areas of business. To excel in this role they should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, should be passionate about new business and should be an able closer using cold calls and inbound warm leads.Key

Responsibilities:

  • Contacting potential clients to establish a sales relationship and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.  
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings.
  • Planning and preparing presentations to prospective clients.  
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients.
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature.     
  • Writing market reports related product success and client feedback.
  • Providing management with feedback on sales strategy and progress.  
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.   
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.  
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.     
  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
  • Have knowledge of and contribute ideas to company products, services, and policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.•  
  • Proven 3 – 6 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in sales, marketing or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.  
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, proactive, and decisive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar products.
