Position Overview

The Senior Java Web Developer is responsible for all front-end coding activities related to online store, including the website, all microsites, email marketing, social media, and online publications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Breaking down functional specifications into technical designs, development tasks, estimates, and executing to completion
2. Set the standards and draft code for all page types on all online assets, including the website, all microsites, email marketing, social media, and online publications
3. Work with Lead Web Designer to ensure all code comps match design comps, before sending code to production team
4. Ensure code renders accurately across all supported browsers and operating systems
5. Use existing knowledge and tools to ensure consistent rendering in all email programs
6. Ensure documentation of all best practices, policies, and procedures related to front-end online coding
7. Actively participate in the approval routing process for all online assets at each stage i.e. development, staging, and production
8. Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs, data, and system configuration issues
9. Track and understand emerging front-end web coding best technologies, trends, and best practices

Required Skills

• 5+ years of development experience in Java & J2EE
• Experience working in ORM like Hibernate & Spring
• Experience in creating & consuming SOAP & JSON services
• Experience working with HTML, CSS, jQuery, AJAX & related web technologies
• Experience working in JIRA & SVN
• JBoss setup & configuration
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Logical, efficient & proactive
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity and possess an ability to adapt quickly and easily. Ability to analyze complex problems and move them to resolution
