Receiving and resolving routine user queries, troubleshooting and providing timely support to ensure that their specific modules run smoothly and optimizing SAP business processes, boost user satisfaction, and improve overall business result.
Planning and implementing new functionalities/system enhancement based on user requirements in their particular module where applicable and developing user procedures for these new developments.
Coordinating with end users to understand and articulate their requirements or issues and documenting the same in Functional design document.
Providing training of SAP modules to concerned business users where applicable and developing training manuals.
Monitoring and controlling of SAP-related external service providers (if any) to ensure that they meet deadlines and expectations.
Close working with SAP Technical Consultants (ABAPERs) to develop, test, debug programs, reports and developing new uploads as per user requirements where applicable.
Coordinating with other SAP Functional experts for Integration related issues.
SAP-Functional expert will be required to keep track of their activities by documenting the user issues, their status, and their resolutions, and issuing logs for review to Head of IS.
SAP-Functional expert will be responsible of his area of expertise i.e. related SAP module, customizing the system based on requirements and any change in the configuration of his respective module.
Liaison with SAP Security Administrator to make contacts with SAP AG in cases where the problem remains unresolved.
Communication with SAP Security Administrator to perform emergency modifications in SAP PRD with appropriate approvals.
SAP Functional staff may perform the responsibilities of SAP technical personnel if they possess desired experience and expertise and they are asked to do so by their supervisor.
