We are looking for a full-time Accountant to join our manufacturing team based in the S.I.T.E area of Karachi. This on-site role operates from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Fridays off and Sundays as a working day. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position supports the COO by managing cash flow, overseeing inventory, and improving internal order cycle times to enhance operational efficiency. While candidates from the Memon community will be given preference, applicants from all communities are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor cash flow to ensure timely payments and collections, maintaining the company’s financial stability.
- Oversee inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce carrying costs.
- Analyze and improve internal order cycle times to boost operational efficiency.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and detailed financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Generate financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the general ledger with accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring proper coding and classification of transactions.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
- Manage banking activities, reconcile bank statements, and optimize cash management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated skills in cash flow management, inventory control, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with cash flow management and inventory control principles.
