Purpose of the role

The Head of Logistics Department is responsible for securing sound logistical performance and coordination at Pakistan mission level in order to provide programs with optimum support

Job Profile

Master's degree in relevant field. 

Minimum 08 years of overall experience with 04 years in relevant management role in development sector

OR

Bachelor's degree in relevant field with minimum 10 years overall experience with 06 years in relevant management role in development sector

Individual accountabilities

Shared accountabilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Logistics team in capital and be support/technical Manager for Logistics Manager in the bases
  • Promote and ensure collaboration and coordination in logistics with the mission's team members & partners
  • Coordinate all logistics matters at national level 
  • Work across the project life cycle (assessment, proposal, SP, reporting etc.) on all the logistics aspects for the mission
  • Ensure monthly reporting of the mission
  • Design of the Logistics strategy 
  • Compliance of logistics with regards to ACF and donor procedures
  • Develop additional SOPs and systems within the mission to enable logistics functions
  • Compliance with regards national regulations and procedures related to logistics functioning 
  • Actively prevent fraud and corruption, including ensuring anti-fraud protocols are strongly followed in all logistics processes
  • Execute regular reviews of internal processing including the use of the LAT
  • Lead entire supply chain and review weaknesses for corrective action by analyzing through KPIs
  • Deployment of ICT Policies in whole Pakistan mission.
  • Coordinate movement planning and transport allocations across the mission in coordination with security
  •  Ensuring gender considerations are met within departments functioning

Coordinate international procurement and/or transportation with HQ

Contribute to the definition of mission strategy.

Lead on logistical aspects of proposal development for the country programs including logistical needs and PPPs
