Job Description

Assignment

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering and consolidating (i) data collected by the program team (ii) Data collected by AME team, under the supervision of the Area Database Assistant. He is also in charge of developing distribution sheets, beneficiary lists, tokens etc.Functions

  • Functions

    A.      Development of Information Collection Mechanisms

    • To ensure regular gathering of data collected by Program and AMEU Team.
    • To ensure accurate and timely entry of program, AME and any other type of data assigned by Area Database Assistant/ Officer into the database.
    • To ensure, return hard copies with proper receiving to Program and AMEU Team after entering data at the end of every activity.
    • To ensure proper filing of data and it’s backup on daily basis at the end of day.
    • To ensure, read first All submitted formats / questionnaire and correct the mistakes before any entry in the database.
    • The DEC will be responsible to highlight the missing values before entry and discuss the entry mechanism with Database Assistant/Officer.
    • Any other activity assigns by the Database Officer/ Database Assistant when required.

     

    B.       Reporting

    • To work according to the priorities set by Program and Database Officer/Database Assistant;
    • To report to the Database Officer/Database Assistant at frequent and regular intervals on the progress of data entry and any outstanding inaccuracies and / or discrepancies.
    Accountability to Communities and Beneficiaries The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every ACTED staff member.
