Assignment

Under the direct supervision of CBDRM Officer, the Training Facilitator is responsible for supporting the implementation of all interventions matching with ACTEDs quality criteria and strategy, and for developing open, mutually respectful, and accountable relationships with the target communities.

S/he is fully responsible of his/her activity in terms of quality and deadline.

Chain of Command

Under the authority of:

·         CBDRM Officer

·         Deputy Project Manager

·         Project Manager

Functions

Key responsibilities :

  • Implementation of the project
  • Assist and conducting training of VERT members and community as well.
  • Assist in developing Disaster Management Plan.
  • Assist in household assessment, nominations for various trainings to be held under the project.
  • Be alert to opportunities arising for learning, collaboration and partnership that may enhance DRR/CBDRM Project quality and responsiveness.
  • Ensure that program strategies are implemented in a coherent manner in the field;
  • Work closely with CMs to ensure proper planning and implementation of trainings;
  • Liaise with local communities, Authorities and organizations in the field plan;
  • Provide weekly progress reports inclusive of challenges as well as the solution to DRR officer regarding progress of work.
  • Liaise with program staff of other ACTED offices to ensure proper information sharing
  • Conducting hygiene sessions with VERT member/Community as well.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the concerned supervisor.

  • Fill, Check & control attendance sheets, and other relevant documents;

Accountability to Communities and Beneficiaries

The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every ACTED staff member.
