ABOUT ACTED PAKISTAN:
ACTED is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Paris, founded in 1993. Independent, private and not-for-profit, ACTED respects a strict political and religious impartiality and operates according to principles of non-discrimination and transparency. Acted has been present in Pakistan since 1993 and currently supports communities in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Azad Jammu Kashmir. Acted Pakistan programmes range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. Acted strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.
Assignment:Technical Advisor – Fodder Development will Conduct baseline assessment and mapping of fodder production systems and markets.- Support formation and organization of Fodder Producer Groups (FPGs).- Design and implement demonstration plots for improved and climate-smart fodder varieties.- Promote silage, haymaking, and feed block production at community level.- Build producer capacity on fodder cultivation, conservation, and market linkages.- Conduct ToTs and develop field manuals and IEC materials.- Develop Fodder Value Chain Strengthening Plan and facilitate partnerships with feed mills and livestock enterprises.- Support establishment of fodder banks and silage units.- Document field learnings and success stories.
Qualification & Experience:Master’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, or Animal Husbandry. - At least 10 years of overall experience, including 7 years in fodder production, animal nutrition, or climate-smart agriculture. - Experience in Sindh and fluency in English required.

Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups; Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
